Online Platforms
When I first started teaching online it required a basic understanding of HTML to set up the online classroom. Now video is a common component and everything is done by simply clicking and dragging.
Unfortunately some schools are complete missing the mark and going in reverse as they are changing the platform without first testing it, and leaving out the most important tool which is streaming video.
zara,
You are right, it is about cost. I also find that schools pay so much for the "bells and whistles" and yet have no one using them because either no one knows about them or no one has been trained.

Yes I do remember having to code classes many, many, years ago. Some LMS's do not work so well-you are right! Some are great but I find it depends on the school and what options they pay for in many cases.
Scott,
That is so true!!!!! We should test the bells and whistles before we require them. We don't want to create barriers that don't have to exists. Good post!
