Comfort in being a guide
I think I enjoy on-line teaching so much because I was always better at the "guide on the side" role. I taught writing for years and that subject just doesn't need as much lecture by an expert as it needs "hand-on" application and practice.

Great post. Yes, you are well suited to the online delivery. This type of teaching style is perfect. You can make such a difference in student learning by guiding their learning. Student centered also means student responsible.

I, too, take pleasure in being a guide. And in being a guide, I've found it most helpful when I take the time to thoroughly review every aspect of my course. This helps when a student has a question. As the course facilitator, I am there to guide them in such a way to enhance their online learning experience.
