Three Things

When developing feedback for assignments or projects, it is important to tie the feedback to the course objectives. Commenting on specific areas in which a student did well or poorly can reinforce areas of learning. Vary assignments whenever possible to deal with different levels of learning and knowledge.

Marshall,

Right on! This makes sense and helps connect everything to the learning outcomes. Nice job.

Dr. Tena B. Crews

Right, that is why I mentioned on my initial response to the assignment, the feedback should be addressing the rubric, what is intended to be learned in an assignment or task.

Christopher,

Good point. As students learn in a variety of ways, the assignments should vary as well. Nice job.

I agree that varying the assignments adds to the learning process. No student just wants to write paper for the entire course or do problem after problem. Variety they say is the spice of life... well it works in the classroom also. Varying the assignments allows the students different ways of demonstrating mastery of the material. It allow for the student to learn in different and varied ways.
