Three Things

When developing feedback for assignments or projects, it is important to tie the feedback to the course objectives. Commenting on specific areas in which a student did well or poorly can reinforce areas of learning. Vary assignments whenever possible to deal with different levels of learning and knowledge.

Jesse,

and should encourage them to want to improve. Thanks!

Feedback helps them understand if they need Improvement or no Improvement.

Breezy,

Feedback should be positive and constructive. Feedback should be designed to help the students improve. Thanks for your input.

I think that the feedback for a course is very important. As an instructor, you must give sometype of feed back whether the student takes it as negative or positive. You also have to explain to the student how the situation would work within the real world within the profession. So feed back is always good. I think that we all can learn from it not just the students

Marcia,

You are absolutely correct. Using rubrics that incorporate the course objectives within the rubric helps students understand not only what they are doing, but why they are doing it.

Thanks for your input through these forums.
