I have heard of this before, and it works for both on campus and online classes. It gives the students to provide immediate feedback, too. It lets you know what is clear and what isn't so that you can address is. I find them helpful anytime presentations are used because students are often afraid to stop to ask questions, and with an online option that isn't in realtime, they don't even have the chance. Those quick essays can make all the difference in making sure students are with you.

Thanks,
Kate

Denise,

Great! Glad you learned something new you can use. I love these types of little things we can do to help us help students. Thanks!

I had not heard of this method before but I really like it. This will allow you to see what the students go out of a lecture. What they understood and what they didn't understand. I think it is a great tool. Mrs. Haynes

Marshall,

Yes, quick and easy, but tells you a lot of information.

It would appear the one minute essays challenge you to think on your feet.

Leah,

These little things make a big difference. Hope they are helpful to you and your students.
