Evaluating the course

One method I use for evaluating a course is to review student grades and feedback for the course, this helps me plan for revisions in my next course.

Besides the reviewing of the student grades and feedback for the course, interviewing students, and a peer-peer review will complement quantitative as well as qualitative aspects of a course assessment and improvement. Regards.

Joyce,

Thanks for continuing the conversation. Working for a true assessment is essential. Thank you for your input.

I agree totally with your comment. Grades are just a small part of the ways in which we can improve our courses. We must remember that the course can be great but if students do not avail themselves of the information and assistance offered we will not have a true assessment based on grades.

ATUL,

Right on. It's a never ending cycle that is important to keep going. Thanks!

Evaluation of course is an ongoing process. However, course evaluation requires feedback from different sources.

Karissa,

Just keep in mind that course grades are not always the best indication for specifically describing how to improve the course. The feedback will be essential. Thanks!
