Online Learning Preparation

When ever someone is doing online courses they must be prepared. Time management is of essence, and understanding the course outline is very important to follow.

LATOYA,
I agree that this is one of those situations where "the more, the merrier" works.

I really like this suggestion and this could be very helpful to do for both the instructor and for the students. The facilitator may find mistakes or see that some of the expectations of the students maybe too low (in terms of content of assignments and etc.) or maybe unrealistic.

I think that it may also be a great idea to have a co-worker's or someone else's opinion on the course material. Sometimes another perspective can go a long way and most likely will catch those things that were missed.

Lauren ,
Sometimes the most obvious and straightforward approach accomplishes much. This is an excellent recommendation and should certainly be accomplished whenever possible.

I am going into my third year as an online instructor, and what I find to be helpful is to do a dry run of the class as a student. This method helps me to know if there are any errors in the class, and make sure I am comfortable navigating through the system.

Hello Joan,
I agree these are true for both instructors and students. Do you have some "best practices" you follow for these recommendations? Thank you for your input.
