Cpurse Management System

According to this training, one of the most common course structures includes modules and lessons. These two topics cannot be ignored in a successfully online course facilitation. In addition, course management system (CMS) cannot be taken lightly either. A CMS is a system through which courses can be delivered in an online environment, and student(s)performance can be measured accurately.

Gary,

A CMS can be a very helpful tool; however, I know of several associates that don't use them in their classes and still have very effective courses. A CMS is just another powerful tool in the online arsenal.

Herbert Brown III

Yes, indeed. There seems to be a tendency to use a CMS because we should agree that it is the only way to teach effectively on line. The worse thing is to create a CMS simply to have a CMS. If a CMS does not contribute to the goal of quality instruction, it is a hindrance rather that an aid.

Emmanuel,

That is true, both the modules and lessons structure and CMS systems are important. I do however, know other faculty that do not use a CMS to facilitate a course, but instead use a variety of other online tools and have been able to build strong courses as well.
