learning style
What is your learning style?
Sarah,
Since I study mostly math subjects and teach math, I usually start by understanding the definitions and theorems. I think, though, that I learn more when I start working on exercise problems. In my case, actual understanding is achieved when I try to solve a lot of mathematical problems as it gives me an opportunity to explore the different possibilities of solving them. Do you think, though, that this works for other subjects, as well?

Hi Sarah, there are many different types of learning styles. Most of the time when we discuss learning styles we refer to cognitive learning styles, which refers to how we think and learn. In the learning style section of this course we discuss social learning styles, which has a big impact on how learners interact and engage in an online learning environment. Tina
