Technical

I will be able to lead or guide my students in the right direction. I definetly need to look into the student orienation class for CMS.

Walt,
Nice 'double-check' idea. Sometimes that extra step is too easy to skip.

Prior to teaching I worked for years in Technical Support. I learned it is always a good idea to not only test, but to logon and access the software application exactly as would a user. Therefore, it is always wise to switch to student mode after every update to verify what the student (user) sees and can do. This allows you to correct any issues in a timely manner before the students discover them and you are scrambling try to fix them afterward.

Christopher,
Good thought. The orientation often provides logistical/technical information for the students. The instructor having knowledge of what the students were provided can give you insight for leveraging the students' knowledge to meet the class objectives.
