Feedback
In regards to feedback it is imperative that we provide timely and quick feedback. You need to be detailed in your response. You need to do the sandwich method. Start with something positive and then focus on improvements and then close with positive feedback. Be honest and detailed so they can learn from it and improve on their next assignment.

I agree. I, too, like the sandwich method because it builds the student's confidence and keeps them motivted to keep going and gives them opportunities for improvement. It is important to give timely feedback to the students in order to stay connected to the students.
I like the sandwich suggestion. Feedback in a timely AND MEANINGFUL way is critical to your success as an online teacher. It definitely has an effect on your student's learning and confidence in you as an instructor.
Never heard of the "sandwich" method but this actually what I try to do. I do strive to be honest and detailed with the student in addition to give examples of the correct responses. This usually makes it a little clearer for the student and they understand the topic/question better.
