online tools
it is great to be able to join online courses because they have great online tolls such as videos and PDF to access them any where and any time.
Agreed, and what's really interesting about the latest technological advances is how distance education is making the world "smaller" in bringing all learners closer together via the online format.
The tools at our disposal as educators and learners is amazing to say the least. We've got so many interactive tools to apply, that one must think carefully and plan which ones to use and how to use them for the most significant learning result.
Paul,
I would assume you are using a lot of instructional videos with close ups to show individuals how to do massage and then reinforce the videos and lecture with hands on labs to practice and demonstrate the skills. It seems this could be very effective. If a student has trouble with a specific technique or forgets how to do one, they can just self-remediate with the videos.

Online is nice to work in. It will be interesting to see how our massage hybrid program works. We are going to do the lectures online and the practical components on ground. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks.
Paul
Stephen,
I would agree and to determine which ones are "accurate" since anyone can post anything to youtube and other video sharing sites.

Online tools are only as good as the topics you choose for your class. Youtube has so many topics you can use for your class. It is a challenge to choose which ones are relevant.
Amgad,
I agree that online courses are great because they don't have to be in real time. I like that I can view information in the course as needed when it's best for me.
