Teaching online learners
I find when communicating with students via discussion posts, the instructor must have error free material.
Actually, I use my errors at teaching moments. For example, i am teaching a leadership and performance class now and one student found an error. This gave me the opportunity to demonstrate a principle that I was teaching that week.
Our LMS allows students to edit for up to 30 minutes. I find this is useful for the students.
lUCKY for us, instructors can go back and edit a post when they spot an error. Students do not have the option to edit unless instructor sets that for them.
