How do your advisers assist you in retention and encouraging students to participate?

That's a part of that community students need to feel engaged in the class. They may have an online advisor that is doing their job well in advising, but not building the relationship the students need. Thanks for your input.
I completely agree! We, the instructors should be the first point of contact with the student anyway....not just send them back to the advisor! We are ones the delivering the material.

It's not just the advisors that need to be involved, but we, as instructors, need to be retention experts and encourage students to participate.
