I agree if the student does not have internet access they should not enrolled on an online class.

I could not agree more. The internet is the foundation necessary in order to be successful in an online course; especially when the course content and all class interactions are via the computer, using the internet.

The students need to take come responsibility. I dont think they should expect to take an online course without Internet access. Thanks for your input as well.

I agree with the the course facilitator. First the student should determine if he/she is able to have internet during the duration of the class before enrolling in a online course. Second, there are students that fall on hard times during the course and lose their internet provider. In any case, I would recommend the library, Starbucks, or McDonalds. All of these places provide free internet. You can connect to their internet from the parking lot if you didn't want to spend money inside of the establishments. This being only possible if they had a laptop of course. If not then the library it is.

I don't think a student should be enrolled in an online course if he/she does not have Internet access. But, there are public libraries that offer free Internet.
