Interactivity

Interactivity
The first step toward a more interactive and animated discussion is faculty members who guide the learning experience. The instructor’s actions and interactions are what drive activity in the classroom. In order to make your job more fulfilling, working with your colleagues and lead faculty to update discussion assignments is something you should consider.
Interactive methodologies of faculty-student contact in our online student environment, is a powerful retention tool and can add value to both internal and external marketing missions. As competition heats up in the online educational universe, the time is now to gain market share based on sound customer service and forward-looking strategies.

Ron,

Interesting. I think that can be one of the drawbacks to chatting is that some can type better than others.

I try to keep the class interesting by asking questions, purposely making mistakes and asking the students to find them, etc. The biggest problem I run into with an online environment is that it can really slow down the class because of the delay caused by the students having to type in the chat window.

Milka,

I don't. It is too hard and too complex. I use open source options.

Milka,

I use items that are available on the Internet. Vocabulary.com is a great place to go

Do you create your own games?

What kind of interactive games do you use? How do you source the games?

Lisa,

Games and simulations really have their place in learning. Groups need to aware of it.

Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

I love using interactive games to help the learner retain information.

Sabrina,

I think you said the magic word. . . .faculty guiding learning. It is with interaction and action with the students making the connections in their own unique way.
