Media sharing
In my area this is a wonderful tool that might also help students work a little harder to match a peer's level of work.
Kendrick,
Start small and build your repository. You don't want to be overwhelmed with looking for a video for each specific item. That becomes overwhelming for both you and the student and it takes away the value.

Tina, I would agree with Kelly. I too would start out by introducing social media to the course/students by using Youtube and blogs. As she stated, there are numerous videos available that are relevant to healthcare topics; however, you will just need to find the ones that are relevant to your course topic. And although, I do not utilize them as much as I should in my courses, I think that they are a great way to educate, engage, and inspire students.
Tina,
I would first start with Youtube or blogs about a certain healthcare subject, or have students to follow an expert tweet ( I promise they are out there) and have them evaluate the social media content with other ideas or opinions.

I currently do not use any media sharing in my courses. How do you suggest that I approach this integration? The students vary in age from 18 to 60. The topic is healthcare insurance. I'm curious as to how to get started.
Tina
Steven,
That is an interesting take on creating multimedia. How do you grade them?
