Effective communication

This is a well presented topic. There is no doubt that effective communication is essential to enhance productivity. Most work environment problems arise from inappropriate or ineffective communication, as such like the tutorial implys, timing and method in communication is key.

Another essential element in effective communication is feedback. A communication method that is not sensitive to feedback would have no room for improvement and may be counter productive

Effective communication includes effective listening and avoiding interruptions. It is important to maintain eye contact and how interest during communication. If you don't understand a point during the communication wait until the speaker has finished a thought and then ask clarifying questions. It also helps to paraphrase what you have heard to make sure you have understood the point.

Effective communication is essential in all daily life activities: at home, work, school, with our children. Many times miss communication can end up causing lots of confusion.

Without feedback the sender cannot be sure that the information was disseminated to the receiver properly. You can make sure the message was properly sent and accepted by the employee. If not, you can troubleshoot the situation in a micro role before it expands into a macro situation causing problems and dissatisfaction in the whole department.

I beleive, that effective communication is the bases to the success of any insitition. When there is good communication among supervisors, and employees this makes for a better work enviroment.

Feedback is not only about correcting mistakes. It is also about determining if the message was relayed clearly to the listener.

I totally agree that feedback is essential. No one is perfect in a corporation or in an institution. The boss is not always right. Supervisors need to be open to constructive feedback.
