Receiving onfo

I was taught by my mentor to talk the language of the receiever. In addition, look for nonverbal cues in regards to the receiver understanding the message. This allows for the speaker to rephrase if a signal of confusion was sent. Many people will not say they do not understand, but will sent nonverbal messages or innuendos.

I agree that nonverbal communication is absolutely essential in any form of communication. Indeed, many often forget that nonverbal communication constitutes the majority of communicative exchange in most situations. Looking for how someone says something is just as important as what they say.

Two important goals in messages to consider, easy to understand, and delivered in a way that creates a motivation to execute and/or reply.

I can actualy see it in a students eyes when they have learned something that interests them. Once I see this in a student I know they are motivated to learn and listen.

Absolutely true. Getting confirmation that our students understand what we have presented to them is a key to both our and their success.

I totally agree. In class, most students will not admit they do not understand and will try to blame the instructor when thy receive a bad grade. Often I will ask the student to repeat the instructions back in order to clear up any confusion or lack of understanding before they begin.
