Gunnysack? That's a new one to me.
Exactly. This really is not a good idea it usually makes for a very uncomfortable situation and you should put yourself in the other persons shoes. Would you want someone to do that to you?

Hi Jessica...You know, the first time I had heard this term was while teaching a communications class a few years back. We all have interpersonal communication issues with friends, family, and significant others. When we gunnysack, we place those past issues in a seperate space in our mind to use against that person when we feel threatened. When a spouse starts a quarrel with their partner and the partner brings up a past incident where the accuser was guilty of the same behavior, they are said to be gunnysacking.
