Training

If we do not properly train employees/Instructors, how do we expect them to teach properly in the classroom. An effective instructor is much more than just a dynamic person. An effective instructor must also have the proper tools to communicate with all the students in all forms of learning (VAK).

After training, the immediate application is needed if training is effectively to take place. Lets not forget the evaluation process which is performance based.

Properly trained instructors and employees are vital to the success of a classroom and campus. Its the responsibility of the management to see to it that their employees receive proper, pertinent, and relevant training.

I agree there needs to be a level of professionalism upon the instructors. They need to set real world examples in the classroom.

I have realized that in career schools the Instructors can sometimes act as "student instructors" It is important to maintain professional standards in our industry to provide students with a quality education.

I agree, many instructors were great in the work place but when it comes to transfering that knowledge and skill some do lack the ability to teach/instruct. I feel that having formal training for instructors is very important as it will help them to be a much more effective teacher, and having the proper tools will help them to want to be a better instructor. All in All trainig can always help us to improve our teaching ability.

very good

Training and teaching go hand in hand but I believe training goes even futher and is more specific. Each person involved in training must be assured that their training transferred to the workplace. Students are provided with a grade, but the training or instrucfion does not always transfer

Eric Miles:

Effective instructors are indeed indicative of effective administration, we must train them on how to effectively communicate, perform assessments, and follow-up. The course highlights several key aspects that are often neglected in formal trainin.
