When showing the employee whose boss...

As a manager/supervisor/boss, Is refusing to sign an employee's time sheet unacceptable if the employee is efficient & punctual?

What are good examples of properly "showing the employee whose boss"?

Never ask an employee to perform a task, follow a rule or complete an assignment you won’t or don’t do. If you follow those rules then an employee will have no chose to follow your lead.

It depends on this being a one time thing or not. Because the employee is known for being efficient & punctual I'm assuming it's the first time. In this case the boss should give the employee the employee the chance to explain, and enforce 3 strikes and your out rule, so it doesn't become a habit.

I would think a good example of "showing the employee whose boss" would be if you (the boss)wanted your employees to come back from break or lunch on time, and you didnt set the example for them, do to the fact that you were " the boss"
