Time Management
Do you feel that you reach all your goals?
I try to reach my goals by setting SMART goals. Goals that are SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, Achievable, Realistic, Time framed.
Caleb,
On what basis do you determine which things on each list are priorities over other items on that list?
Jeffrey Schillinger
I feel if i make a list of short term and a list of long term goals it seems to work pretty well. but writing them down is key.
I have created a Task list in a spread sheet and assigned priorities. It is 3 pages long. The step i left out is the todo list from it with only 4 or 5 items on it. Therefore it never feels like i accomplish anything. My next task is to create that Todo list.

Saying no can be a tough thing. You may want to start with "not right now because ...." I have found this is helpful.
Jeffrey Schillinger
I especially liked the part where it states to say "No" more to bosses and coworkers if it compromises goals. I do have a hard time saying no, and would feel guilty of not being a "team player", or that I just could not handle the work load.
I realized that I am not as good in any one particular area if I am trying to do too many things at once. Tasks would get a half effort.
Does anyone have any thoughts in this area?
No I often do not reach my goals. I need to write my goals down and prioritize them so as to waste less time.
I need to develop a system beacuse mine right now is not working. I found the tools in this seminar was very helpful.
Well I just had to turn in my goals for the year so I made a list of things that I know I could get done with before December. One big thing and 3 small things.
