This sounds like a great plan that would save all concerned a lot of time including IT personnel that have to send more e-mails to many users telling them to delete old e-mails that are using memory and slowing computer speed.

Emails can absorb a lot of time. Some companies declare "email bankruptcy" every Friday by deleting all emails that have not been responded to. If the email was that important, it can be resent the following Monday.

Stu,

I find it interesting that folks seem to believe an email is in your consciousness the second they send it. How do you deal with this sort of expectation?

Jeffrey Schillinger

it is hard for me somedays I have to respond quickly and somedays I dont even see any email untill later in the day, but it all works out.

Stu,

How do you "control" email? many experts state that setting asife times to check email during the day rather than leaving it open and responding instantly is effective.

We also have the email problem, but I must say it has its own life as long as you controll it.

Cavin,

I fight the same battle with mixed results. I do tend to send things out to groups using the BCC option. It reduces the number of reply to alls for other folks.
