Involve the entire team
All of the information in this course is useful, but it is important that your entire team be on board with all of the concepts.
Each individual on the team needs to understand and use the tools provided. It's the weak link thing. One team member that isn't on board can/will slow the entire project.
Everyone needs to be pulling the same direction. I will start by asking each team member to complete this course and to utilize the tools available at the end.
Colin,
Good luck. Thanks for the reply.

Thanx, Jeffrey.
As I said, it's me and not the team. They're a good bunch of guys and when I ask for something to get done they do it without any push-back or whining. In fact, my night instructor reminded me yesterday that I can ask for help when I need it. I did manage to delegate a couple of tasks over the last week and I have full confidence that they will be attended to in a timely manner.
Thank you, again. I'm sure that your advice will be useful if I encounter any difficulties in the future.
Colin,
It may be worth meeting as a group and asking them what things they would feel comfortabe doing. they may volunteer to take on a lot or they may not volunteer at all. If the latter hapens, you may want to ask what you can do to train them on the important things they are not yet comfortable doing. Perhaos a rotating schedule is an answer.
The small things we do for students or to keep us compliannt may not be exciting, but they are not "lackey" activities.

One of my downfalls is that I tend to not delegate tasks to my team. I'm not a 'manager' of sorts but I have a team of three other full-time instructors working in one course with me and I'm the Team Leader (code for 'Old Dog', I've been here the longest). I tend to do many of the things for the two classrooms myself. It's not that my guys aren't capable, it's just that I don't want to appear as though I'm pushing off the 'lackey' work to the other instructors.
Don't take this wrong, my guys do plenty and they take care of the rooms well. I just need to get better with the delegation of tasks, and that would free up more time for the rest of my responsibilities.
Dave,
This sounds like a good plan.
