self inflicted pressure

When taking the assessment I knew the material quite well however, I was constantly interrupted and thus continued to score low. The more I took it and the more times my scores came back less than what I thought it was, the more I pressed to get them all correct. The last time I took the exam, I got them all correct because I enabled myself to not analyze but to just answer the question. Leasson learned, stress is self inflicted.

Tim,

There are best practices to avoid distractions be consistent with the practice and people will begin to see your practice and habits.

Dr. Gary Carlson

I had a similar experience completing the assessment as well. After reading your post, I am realizing that this same dynamic is a source of stress for me at work. I am constantly pulled away and lose focus. Recently I have tried to adapt by thinking of the interruptions as short breaks rather than annoyances or distractions. It seems to be helping.

Good for you! We learn from our experiences.
