I have found that taking my dogs on a daily walk helps. We go a mile a day. I enjoy going on different routes. Along with the brisk pace, I try to do my breathing techniques. By the time we get home, both the dogs and I are more relaxed.
jeffrey,
All good techniques. We all have ways of dealing with our stress. It is important to practice them.

Hello,
I like to use different exercises to beat stress to avoid repitious activity. A nice brisk walk with a friend or co-worker during lunch not only gets your circulation going, but allows you to voice out your frustrations. Riding a bike, hiking or even challenging yourself mentally with puzzles, word games or sodoku are other alternatives.
jeffery,
Both these measures are important. By making these a practice you health will improve. With good health you can face difficult situations.

Exercise is part of the balance you need to conquer stress. Other necessary balances to stress is mental activity for pleasure, good health practices and spiritual rejuvenation.

Hi Barbara!
I don't know if there are "best" exercises for beating stress but I enjoy going to Zumba classes. They are basically dancing/cardio classes with music, it's a lot of fun and a major stress reliever for me. I'm sure some kind of physical activity that makes you sweat should help lower your stress levels. Hope this helps!
Cassandra,
I believe in the workout method but haven't expereinced the crying yet. What works for you is the best practice.

Anything that gets your blood pumping and that you really enjoy. When I am super stressed I do cardio to my favorite music and sometimes I actually cry while I am working out because the stress just pours out of me.
Alba,
Working out before your challenges of the day is a great way to be fresh. It is a way to clear your mind.

I have found Yoga to be a wonderful exercise to reduce stress. It is great not only for the body, but also for the mind. You really have to focus on your breathing and it helps with flexability and gives and overall renewed sense of relaxation. I would reccommend it if you haven't tried it yet!
Jordan,
It is always good to be able to step back away from the immediate work rigor and reflect on the challenges from a differenct perspective.

I think taking a walk on lunch or breaks helps alot. I see things during this time that helps me get my mind off work if needed.
Pamela,
When creating ways to relax you can do it with your mind and music. You are in control of your destiny.
