Overthinking

Sometimes I overthink a problem so much, that I can't tell the difference between a legitimate concern or something that I am blowing out of propotion.

rick,
Positive thoughts and thinking outloud always puts things into a better perspective. Having friends listen to you can keep you on the road to success.

I have always found that when i dwell or overthink an issue saying out loud helps tremendously, even ifs its just to myself. But a good friend is better.

Dee,

When you think you are over thinking a challenge or dwelling in a topic it is time to talk with someone you trust. Sometimes discussing something out loud with a friend will make it clear.

I sometimes do the same thing. I have noticed that when I am tired, not feeling well, feel like I can't accompolish what I (feel) I need to within a certain time, these are the times that I overthink/dwell on things. I am becoming more aware of when I am doing this and I try to "take control of my thoughts" and redirect myself-it really helps-and with practice I am recognizing it sooner.

Brian,

It is al ways good to not make something bigger than necessary.

This is a solid point that helps me out. I spend so much time thinking through every possible angle, that it is important to step back and realize that all of the improbable eventualities considered may not actually occur.

gary,

It is always to put value on the issues at hand. You are right some of them don't really matter. Prioritize your issues.

One thing that I always try to remind myself is that 90% of the things we worry about never happen.

Stephanie,

The main approach is to remain calm and collected. Think it through and give your best thought process to solve the problem. Some issues take longer than others and we shouldn't over play out small issues longer than necessary. You need to prioritize your issues.
