Worrying
Worrying is like a rocking chair, you can go back & forth but it will get you no where. Live life to the fullest, try to change on what you can, and try not to dwell on what you can't change.
Always try to turn a negative into a positive!
Your rocking chair analogy is great, James, I have to remember that one (as I am a "master worrier")!
Jamil,
There is a great book called "Positive Self Talk" by Lou Tice. "YouTube" has Lou Tice videos on positive self talk. These are the steps to achievement. Depression is often our mind giving false messages in our subconscious to give up. Remember positive self talk keeps us on the track moving forward.

James,
You are correct. One thing that we must remember is that worrying is a thought process. If you think more positive thoughts it wouldn’t leave room for many topics to worry about. Having a good emotional state and mindset will help with worrying and limit thing like depression, low self-esteem, envy, and loss of interest in job.

I believe a little worry helps define the level of importance of that particular subject. If there was no worry at all things may become too laxed and the seriousness of the situation is understated. A little healthy worry is OK in my book!
Tracy,
I understand. I have been in the same situation. What kept me going was my faith in myself. I have found in life we must move on. Your ability to set your to accept your talent and believe in it will get you through the tough times. You will meet negatives but you staying positive will make you stronger.

Although I completely agree with what you are saying, that is so hard to do. I happen to be going through this type of thing at work right now and I'm miserable! I'm constantly worried because it seems my boss is "after me" and although I would like to not worry about it, it's hard. I have a family to support and not having a job is not an option. it does not make for a very productive employee!
James,
You are right. The common thing for us is to often worry about things that are in the control of someone else. The best habit is to prepare for the scenario which best fits your actions. Plan A and Plan B would be what you would make plans for the next step. All we can do is our best. Then prepare for the outcome.
My father always used to say not matter what happens the sun will come up tomorrow.
