Continuing Online Training is a must for online instructors. In addition to having a compatible personality with online learning delivery methods and interaction with the students, instructors need to stay up-to-date with new communication methods, technology updates and trends in the online collegiate community. Students expectations are often high and need to be met. Resposnes need to be swift, concise, to the point and useful. Some students use chatting style communication with the instructor. Therefore, the instructor should be flexible enough and knowlegeable to set up the tone or redirect the discussion.
