Admissions training
Admissions is such a beast in its own right. However, I do agree on the Admissions staff training. It is vital, that all person working within Admissions should go thru some sort of training. This allows everyone to be on the same accord.
Suliet,
Continuing education is an important part of our growth as part of our sector. There are continual reforms and changes within the regulations that we must be aware of.
Patty Aronoff
Also retraining or continuing education are very important due to changes in laws.
Kenneth,
The whole school needs to work together.
Kenneth,
Unemployment brings an additional stressor to the mix. Building upon previous skills brings confidence.
Roxana,
The more knowledgeable all staff is, the more compliant the school is. Misleading students is easy to do when people are not informed.
With Unemployed students..it is always bes to build upon previous life/job skills
Without Admissions there is no school. It is the first process to a sucessful completion, and a sucessful student. With Program changes and updates it is a constant learning curve.
I definitely agree with Admissions staff training and not only before they start the job, but during as well because things change constantly. This should be done for everyone, even directors, because sometimes it occurs that the staff knows more than the directors because they haven't been trained properly and I think it should be the other way around or everyone to be on the same page.
Ana,
In today's market, our schools need to be fully trained and on top of any regulations.
yes it's true training ..is crucial for admissions ..there is always something new to learn ..
Jesse,
Students rely on solid direction. Admission reps need to know the regulations and information sources.
not only the government but just being informed in general. keeping up to date with policies, legal issues, compliance, job/career growth etc... all of things need to be kept up on so you can provide students with the absolute best care, with accurate information.
Kedayne,
Personal pride is what takes us to the next level.
Cynthia,
It is nice to hear your thoughts. Unfortunately, there are those within the industry who do not have a conscience and they make the news. It brings a black mark on all the good we do in the educational arena.
I agree that admissions training is essential if educational institutions are to prepare admissions representatives for the chnaging regulations in the education industry. It is important from a compliance standpoint and from a point of personal pride that we, as admissions representatives, provide accurate information to our students. This will only help them to make better decisions about their career options.
I agree 100%. I would never be able to sleep at night if I was a part of a school who did things that hurt a student. I have heard things in the past that have happened to people at different schools and was not happy about it. This training is so important to make sure we are doing the right thing at all times.
Jovanny,
Very good advice and should be well taken.
Patrice,
Training is vital to the institution operating as a whole.
Monty,
We are in a very dynamic sector and the rules/regulations change. Training is very important.
