Marketing Practices

Why is it important to know exactly where your organization is marketing?

Audrey,
Excellent marketing tip.

Cedric,
It is important to know who your target market is.

Clyde,
It is helpful to know the marketing as this is what caught your client's attention. From ad slicks to advertising loops to internet marketing, they all attract differently.

It also helps to look at your active students' high schools that they attended to see where they are coming from.

I agree w/ PA because it is important to know what are the lead generation sources more important for your Institution

So you can know the type of students you`ll be working with.

It is important to know where your organization is marketing so ensure that you are familiar with the local economy as well as the jobs and careers that are relevant to this demographic area. This will also prepare you for questions that prospective students may have.

Oscar,
Partnering with marketing increases your exposure to the right target market.

That way the admission or agent representative will exactly know what type of prospect student can be target.

Fernando,
Exactly! You have already learned much just by how they found you.

Tyler,
So you can be prepared for your clients. Knowing where they heard about your school can tell you so much.

Carol,
Good point..thank you for your post.

Geraldine,
The student will only be successful if these factors are discussed.

It's important to be aware of your target audience, so you can be informed of many external factors such as distance, location, e.t.c, that can contribute a students decision in becoming part of that institution or not.

I think it's important so that you can be aware of any regional issues that are current in that area. Also, so you are not "surprised" if someone calls from that area.

In my opinion it is important to know where the marketing is being done that way you have an idea of the students you are targeting.
