Continuing Education - Admissions
In my past career there has always been continuing education in order to maintain licensure.
I for one think that this is an excellent idea due to the fact that we are dealing with other's lives and have the ability to make a very positive impact on their future!

not only is it done to maintain licensure, but it keeps us compliant and up to date on the latest changes affecting our industry and how the DOE is going to react to those changes.

Leaders are life long learners and life long teachers. Hopefully, maintaining licensure is not the motivation for continuting education.
I agree with you 100%. Continuing education should be provided on an outgoing basis. There are so many changes in rules and statutes that sometimes because of the work we all do takes most of the time away, we dont have the time to go and visit the regulatory web pages to see forth coming changes and by having this continuing education courses, we will never miss one of them. In my opinion continuing education is what keep us on track and provide us all with the right knowledge to better serve to those who come to us looking for a way to grow on a proffesional level.
We must keep up with continuing education in order for us to be up to speed. The more educated we are the more our students will be and coming out of our school will be more successful.

Not only is it important to stay current, we are asking students to pay alot of money to earn and education. We should be continually updating ourselves to make sure they are and feel that the money they are spending is worth while.
I am very greatful for the continuing education availability. It helps me to take a closer look at our institutions procedures and understand why they are in place. As well as, I can see first hand how our procedures help us to enforce the regulations.
I agree that continuing education keeps us informed with the processes within our school. The rules are constantly changing year to year so with continuing to update your license you don't fall behind and keep the school and yourself from getting into trouble.
