It has been interesting to learn that my institution had reduced the advertising and marketing budget of our school and the direct impact it had on inquiries. We have since gone back to considering radio, ads, and being more involved in our community (sponsoring walks etc)

We will be utilizing our website and Facebook page to promote our next class. I am interested to see how many students reply to this form of advertising and how effective it will be. I am optimistic that this will be effective for younger students who use these forms of social communication on a regular basis.

I think a lot of schools especially the one I work for are missing the boat now days with the availability of social network marketing. Texting, facebook, etc. offer many options to communicate with prospective students and we're just not taking advantage of the opportunities since the school management is living too far in the past with their strategies.

Marketing, in my opinion, is the best tool for motivating and informing the prospective students about educational alternatives. Marketing allows academic programs to be shown to the prospective students providing information on the different methods for achieving their goals and dreams.

I thought this was an interesting dicussion topic. My insitution has over a 130 locations nation-wide and utilize various marketing tools such as commericals, radio ads and literature. I also thought that it is interesting how the statues regualate insitutions from being untruthful and/or to exagerate elements of there school in order to convince perspective students to attend.
