Are all staff members of a collaborative office "Agents"?

Our program office is a collaborative one and has staff members that serve in a variety of capacities ... Student Affairs, Operations, Finance, Registrar, Reception ... as well as Admissions. We all try to be available to prospective students to answer general questions about our program, as well as give information regarding our own areas of expertise. Are we ALL considered agents and required to be certified?

Maria,
The best practice is an all out team who is knowledgable and trained. Even the person who answers the phone is a valuable resource.

I truly believe it takes everyone's efforts in any institution that to include receptionists, financial aid, intructors, admissions and even students participate in enrolling a prospective student

Patty,

I just wanted to clarify what it means to be an agent.

Are you considered an agent if you travel off campus and/or out-of-state to meet with prosepctive students, but do not secure an application or accept a payment while off campus?

Audrey

Interesting to notice that in our campus we have personnel in different departments that deal with admissions. Markting, Integrated Services, Financial Aid, Counseling, Admission and others. That is why we all have to take this yearly continuous education course. They keep us updated and abreast of new cahnges.

Margaret,
Agents are those who conduct business OUTSIDE the business establishment. If your staff works inside, then the answer is "no."
