What is the most effective marketing
curious the most effective way to cross market with multiple business's?
Maria,
We should always be looking at ways to bridge relationships with our community. After all, our students are part of that community. The employers of those grads will be a valuable resource.
Patty Aronoff
The support of area top employers partnering with your university as well as client referral.
Karina,
We can learn and work with each other. Community involvement creates great partnerships.

I agree with multiple business, there is nothing like networking among other companies and most of all friends.
Kerrie,
Online enrollments follow the same rules as on ground. If you are soliciting as an agent, through whichever situation, then you must be licensed as a agent.

I am with an online program so I would not be able to invite them to a campus. As long as I did not take a fee from them and enroll the student right on site, could I tell them information and enroll them once I am in the office on the telephone with them for online programs? What about social media?
Kerrie,
I carry cards and wear my school tee-shirt. Other than that, invite them to your school. If you sign them up,etc. then you are acting as an agent.

I have been wondering about this. As an admissions representative, can I tell people about our programs outside of work? Can I advertise it on social media websites if I know friends that are interested in going to school? I wasn't sure on regulations for advertising outside of work. I think that would be majorly beneficial.
Christen,
You bet! People will gladly share a bad experience and the results can be hard to recover from.

Eileen ,
Word of mouth advertising brings you personally developed leads (PDLs or referrals). They are the best marketing.
Patty Aronoff
Word of mouth is the best marketing tool, and does not cost the school anything. Paying for marketing puts the school in financial difficulty because it is so costly.
Patty Aronoff,
I can agree with your statement that "unhappy" students spread the word also. That is why it is very important to establish rapport with the prospective student and make sure thier needs and concerns are adressed.
Aaron -
I do agree with what others have said in the fact of marketing by word of mouth! I was a marketing major and feel that is a free, and if positive, very effective way. I also think college/career fairs are another route to go. You can market your business and speak to people one on one... With them having that face-to-face interaction might seal a deal with your company, school, or whatever it might be!
Aaron,
Certainly there takes a large amount of active communication. You do not want to be working against each other.

Max J. ,
Happy students do love to tell the world, but don't forget that unhappy students do the same. We should strive for excellent customer services.

Indeed, "word of mouth" is one of the most important marketing tools that schools can maximize on. Prioritizing on 'word of mouth' has the potential to further help every school to 'make sure' that they take great care of their students...before, during, and after their enrollment process and well beyond graduation.
Happy students will notify their schools about almost anything and everything that needs to be fixed or addressed on the timeliest manner.
Hello Aaron,
I think that the most effective marketing is through words of mouth. What do you think?
