Financial Aid
How do your correctly encourage students to enroll in your institution when financial aid is not an option for them, especially in this tough economy?
Sandra,
There are many ways to finance education. Not all has to come through financial aid. It takes work and good investigative power but you will be able to find additional resources throughout the community.

This is a real issue. I think that payment plan will be good, and also you can try to find some organizations that might be willing to help.
CLEOPHAT,
This is an opportunity to get connected to your community at large. Finding financial institutions that will provide student loans is one way but also as you state the nonprofit organizations are there to assist as well.

Sharon,
Excellent! You're providing new options to your students. Education can be costly and any opportunity for financial help is awesome.

That is very interesting; we might try it too at our institution.
That is a really good question. At my school, we are dealing with the same problem too. We do not have financial aid yet; so, we had to make available some other alternatives for them. For example, we have a couple of non-profit organization that work with us in order to help students who are qualified to financial aid from them. We also set up payment with them in a way that they will be able to make a monthly payment of a certain amount until they pay off their tuition.
Our Institution offers information on scholarships that are available and that we are participants of. We also offer a payment plan of 25% down, 50% at the half way point of study and remaining 25% upon completion. It seems to help a lot.
Alisha,
Not all schools have the ability to disburse financial aid.mformthem, they should be able to,provide payment options or third party lending.

We offer payment options for students
Sherry,
It is very hard if they do not have the cash for payments. There are other financing options outside of financial aid through private lenders. Also, some churches and community organizations may sponsor students in need.
