Resource Notebook
Do you think someone in Student Services should make this resource notebook as well?
Freddy,
Absolutely! Everyone in the school should understand what you can and what you cannot say and admissions. It's all about compliance.
Patty Aronoff
I agree everyone should be aware of the rules of admissions. Prospective students may ask questions of any employee and whatever answer that employee gives them is what the student will take away. Therefore everyone that may come in contact with a student or a prospective student should have a clear understanding of the rules.
Suzanne,
Student services has a huge impact on the student experience. Students are often dependent upon resources driven by the student services department that will keep them in school.
Patty Aronoff
I think a resource notebook can be used effectively by every department in a school. Student Services, in particular, interact with mostly enrolled students so a resource notebook would be a true asset to you because you get asked questions from student whom are already enrolled and you should know the answer, such as withdrawal policy, drop, LOA.
Maria,
Everyone at the school should know the rules and regulations that we are bound by. No matter which department you work in you are bound by those rules. the school is responsible, so in a nutshell yes
