From my perspective, marketing strategies are critical for an admissions representative. We have the responsibility of developing business knowledge of educational programs. Through effective representation, we can build and engage individuals to educate and recruit potential students. In addition, we would be considered the subject matter expert for our institution, providing expert advise on the information needed to successfully enroll a student.

Marketing strategies should focus on the development of marketing tactics that enable the institution to capture the interest of students and the strategy "appropriate" for them. Understand the environment to create the marketing plan by integrating technology and social media these are the key to success in an effective recruitment process.

Strategic marketing can make an institution stand out from its competition. I believe that building effective marketing of specific academic programs and the results of those programs in terms of job placements, faculty as teachers, and faculty who take time to help students can make the difference.

It is also essential for data collection for the most efficient marketing campaign. An essential part of the Enrollment Form for our Institution is a line asking the Student how they heard about us. We track all of the answers on a spread sheet.
This valuable info will help redirect marketing dollars to the most affective areas in the future.
