The resource Notebook

The Resource Notebook is a great source of information. It contains all laws, rules, statues and regulations that an admissions officer need to know.

Patricia,
The beauty of the notebook as that as you're looking up the information that you need you are refreshing knowledge on another topic through the notebook.

Patty Aronoff

Alicia,
Oh it's great to have a backup plan! Having both formats gives you the ease and selectiveness that you need in order to get the information.

Patty Aronoff

I find the resource notebook invaluable. It helps me to remain current and have the most up to date information about a number of subjects. It would be impossible for me to commit everything to memory. It makes me a better member of the admissions team and also helps me to interact with my candidates.

I have now started a Resource book and I do think it is very easy to use. In the past I have found it easier to create a folder on my desk top and save it to a USB drive to keep all the information easily available and ready whenever I need it without the bulk. I do feel that technology fails some times and have a papercopy at my desk would make me more prepared to have something physically on hand.

Edwin,

Continue to add additional material that will increase the value of your notebook.

Sharon,
Good deal! The resource notebook is a valuable part of your office. Continue to add additional material to increase its value.

Sandra,

Regulations are the guiding force for all things going forward. Once we read the regulations we understand why we do certain things and are required to disclose.

Patty Aronoff

I agree. This training really helped me upgrade my resource notebook

In the past I have used a Resource Notebook various information but it never contained the regulations. I think this is an excellent idea to have everything in one place.
