Foreign students
I know of a lot of foreign students that are granted their stay in the US because they are pursuing their school in the US.
Can a foreign student be helped with a translator in the admissions process?
Andres,
You are operating according the rule. The added disclaimer advises the student of language barrier that may impact employability.

Dear Patty,
Excellent discussion about foreign students. I work for an online school and most students are foreigners located overseas. We actually have what we call “Language Track†with different admissions requirements for our English and Spanish programs. In regards to our Spanish track we added a disclaimer stating “Students should be aware that completing a course or program in a language other than English may reduce employability where English is requiredâ€.
Mirenia,
CIE has a disclaimer that must be published in catalog for students taking exams in Spanish.
Patty Aronoff
That is true... in Florida the state board exam is also offered in Spanish as well in English
Clifsonja ,
Most schools provide instruction in English, if the classes are delivered in another language, they should be fluent in that language.

In working with International students in the past I have never had a translator. The student needs to be able to speak and write in English.
Jackie,
The entrance exam should determine the proficiency. The programs can be taught in another language as well as provision of documents in another language. The Commission must approve all aspects of a school's operations in another language and requires disclaimers of same.

The student needs to be able to read and write English proficiently if i understand correctly?
Marlon,
Yes, however, the examination must be provided in both languages, English and the second language
Patty Aronoff
Can the examination be translated in another language other than english?
cosette,
There is certainly no rule against it,but how is the student going to pass entrance examinations and classes in English if they are not proficient?
