Integrity
How important should integrity be to you during the admission process?
Cari,
Integrity, honesty and ethics are all part of the admissions code of conduct. Our students rely on us for these qualities.
Patty Aronoff
I think it should be very important. I have to maintain our integrity in our company, if I don't my students don't trust us as a company and will go some where else. It's a huge part.
Marc,
You are so right! We should always hold truth, integrity and their well being at the top of every person's agenda. They rely on us for the full truth.
Patty Aronoff
Integrity is extremely important in the admissions process. We're here to help students with a decision that will effectively change their life, for the good or the bad. We need to hold ourselves accountable to this responsibility so that we constantly are treating those students we're talking to like you would a cared about family member.
Carmenza,
The students really rely on admissions to provide them the information they need to make a decision about their choice of school. Integrity and honesty must be first and foremost.
Patty Aronoff
Abigail,
Integrity, honesty and compliance are the keys to best business practices. We should always be knowledgeable and do the right thing.
Patty Aronoff
It is the most important part. When I talk to aperspective student, I put myself in their shoes so I can best serve their needs at all times and provide them with the accurate and fair information.
Integrity is one of the most important attributes a college can maintain when push comes to shove. It is the best practice and policy for all admissions staff to uphold when involved with any direct contact of students, faculty, staff and the public. It is the basis for representing the school's educational approach, branding experience and reputation. Without integrity, an educational institution could never last in the heavily competitive industry of higher education.
Nachelle,
You are so right! Honesty and integrity is the only wat to conduct business especially when it is someone's dream.
Patty Aronoff
This is the number one thing that should always be practiced. Give the right information all the time. If you do not know the answer find someone that does. Do not sale a false dream.
John,
Words of wisdom! Integrity and intelligence moves the world. Otherwise, we re always fixing and repairing preventing us to move forward. Thank you for your post.
Patty Aronoff
Angel,
We should always place ourselves in the student's perspective. If this is not a good fit, then they will drop and your school has lost another student. We should always look for the best fit. If it is not, then move on and replace your efforts with someone else.
Patty Aronoff
Every day I wake up, go to work, speak to students, co-workers, raise my family, sports etc.. I live my life by building positive Karma. I wanted to share a quote from someone I feel is a smart person, not sure if I can post his name so will post just his initials.
"In looking at people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if they don't have the first, the other two will kill you."
— W.B.
Great truth to that and the best to us all!
Patty,
"Often admission reps hold back in the information for fear of losing a client."---I couldn't agree with this statement anymore. Before beginning as a Recruiter, I often feared that the recruiting culture would be as such, and that I would be tempted to fall in line. However, I am very relieved that that is far from the truth. The institution at which I work prides itself on compliance and openness.
Mitchell,
If we keep this is in mind, we can be proud of what we do and enjoy their success.
Patty Aronoff
Vicky,
The decision must be theirs and theirs alone. Often admissions reps hold back in the information for fear of losing a client. But never despair, if it is not meant to be then replace with anther lead.
Patty Aronoff
PERRY,
We should be fully compliant no matter the regulatory body. As a consumer protection state, we should be extraordinary in everything in order to protect the student and the school.
Patty Aronoff
Lauren,
Integrity allows us to feel good inside about what we have done but ore importantly what we have done for others.
Patty Aronoff
Integrity is important no matter what position you are in.
