Catalog!
Hello Patty,
Should an institution provide all details information in a catalog or should some details may be explained at the interview process with the prospective students?
Emmanuel
Ignacio,
Yes, the rule requires such disclosures. It will also be reviewed by CIE in licensure and site visits.

I have a question about Catalog requirements: Rule 6E-10032 (7) states that "A reduction in tuition, fees, or other charges may be implemented when there are specific criteria for student eligibility and selection procedures precisely disclosed within a policy at the institution". Therefore, all tuition reductions must be disclosed to prospective students during the admission process, even those offered by individuals or organizations other than the licensed institution itself.
Does that mean that third-party tuition reductions have to be included in the catalog, or can they be disclosed by other means, such as the Institution website, or the admission representatives themselves?
Akija,
There are many opportunities throughout the enrollment process that allows us to keep compliant and provide good converation about concerns of the student.

Emmanuel,
The catalog is the binding contract along with the enrollment agreement. I conduct overview of the catalog and hit the high points so that the student is familar with it.

I've found that the catolog is a great source for finding information on addmissions requirements, programs of study, course descriptions, the financial aid process, & faculty & staff. I believe that it is necessary to have specific details spelled out in writing. Prospective students, faculty & current students can refer to the catalog as needed. The prospective student's WITY questionaire will help you ID areas of the catalog you should emphasize in your interview.
