Is there a way to get the students to get everything together sooner or even help them with it?

Checklists are great tools and they keep us on the right track for completion of the packets.

We also use an admissions checklist that is completed by the admissions counselor. The checklist makes it easier to keep track of what has been completed and what is pending. This checklist is the first document on the student record. We also organize the student file in a specific order so that it is easy to find the information in the file.

Many schools use a checklist and have the student sign off step of the way. If they are active in he process, it goes much smoother as they have part ownership in getting it done.
