Paperwork does and don'ts
What is the most efficient way to handle paperwork?
Hi Steven,
Handling paperwork can be very intense. You definitely want to complete the task on one day. Efficiency also means that you know what all the paperwork means.
Steven,
I have developed a simple folder with a checklist on the cover. also they are color coded (3 colors)
so I can determine the type of funding the Student is using at a glance.
My checklist is composed of 3 sections,
1)Pre-start
2)During Enrollment
3)After Graduated
This works well, at a glance my staff can look and see what needs to be competed and what is already checked off.
Carol,
It is so important! Knowing the material that is in the enrollment agreement and the catalog is critical. The student is counting on you.

Carol,
Finance is such an intensive subject. We leave that to the subject matter experts in your financial aid department.

Be very informed with the institutions catalog and enrollment form, so that I can know what to tell the propect student and enrolled student. I must know my do's and don't to be successful in admissions. I must follow the rules and guidelines as well as laws and regulations. Very Important!
I understand that although I must give the enrolled student a catalog and stay informed about the tuition. I also have to remember that there is a limitation because I am not allow to talk about financial aid numbers. That specifically is FA job.
Steven ,
The most efficient way is to have a system and a checklist which is audited and reviewed.
