At our institution, we have live seminars online about once a month, where prospects can view a representative give information about our school and ask any questions that they may have.
Yes this can be a very helpful tool when staff memmbers are out of town.

Excellent idea, especially for my institution that most student are located overseas, a webinar can be a wonderful tool to make that initial connection with the prospective student.

I have found webinars good but not always best for recruiting. Webinars are great for disseminating information in other areas such as orientations or as an addendum for online courses.
Live webinars also gives other recruiters/advisors the chance to listen in and learn about their instution as well.
