Your Institution

It is very important to know what your other departments are offering not only to help your student's but to keep open line's of communication with each other.

Victoria,

People enjoy being around food. What a great idea to bring staff together.

Patty Aronoff

We have a culinary school and we love to have our staff taking a cooking class together. As the Director of one of the campuses I think that is a great way to make everyone understand what we are about, feel they way our student do and also creates a bonding experience between colleagues. After those experiences I am certain that everybody knows each other between different departments and feel comfortable reaching out to each other.

Anita,
Knowledge is very important for compliance.

We run a very small school, but knowing all the different aspects helps our admissions staff better educate potential students. They should leave the office satisfied with the information received.

Dale,
It brings a new perspective to the classrooom experience.

Kenrick,
Agreed!

Dale,
It is important that the prospective student is fully aware and understands to prevent misunderstandings.

i think the information we get from the director and chairs we can make sure the our student very well informed

Not only it is informative, but we are better able to inform to prospective students about the school.

yes i have found that sitting on some of class is very informative

Jennifer,
It's a win-win.

THis is so true and even learning what the other departments do and helping them with thier jobs, they will do the same for you.

I am going to ask our Student Services to provide us with an updated list of the things that they offer for our students. I think internal communication is so important, and something that we easily forget about because we are so focused on our students.

I have found it very valuable to sit in on classes. Nothing beats this in conveying practical experiences to prospective students.
