The new QR coding?
How are people using the type of coding in their advertising?
I agree Audrey, there should be more information about how they work. I know my husband and I often wonder on the ones they show on TV if you are supposed to just hold your phone up to the TV? I don't really get it... of course I am not your typical iphone user. While I LOVE the touch screen functionality and my kids love to play games, I still use it primarily as a phone. Very little downloads and I've never even set up an itunes account yet...

The QR Coding or Quick Response is a way to bring technology to your admissions process. I have seen them link to your website and subsequent video presentation.

They are popping up all over. I have seen them in magazines and on postcards. The ones I have used have autoloaded through the company website.
that is a great question! I am a part of a networking group and one of the members handed out a postcard that had the QR codes on them. Their QR codes were linked to videos that were promotional for their company. What a cool concept. I've seen them around more but didn't know what application to download on my iPhone to access them. I think a lot of people still don't know what these are. Once I downloaded the application, it couldn't find the codes to link me to the marketing material. I think that the codes should have something written next to them that says what to do with them for the general public!
