Graduation

Some schools offered graduation, but some don't. My question is: Is there specific program whom do not required graduation? Thank you.

marissa,
There are schools that do not have a graduation and the students are okay with that. Most of us believe, however, that graduation is a celebration worth so much more.

I do not think there are schools who do not offer a graduation ceremony. Some students may not be able to attend, but schools should at least offer one. Even if it is an on-line school, the graduation is held in the state of the physical school

Joseph,
Absolutely! They need to be recognized in their success.

Allyson,
It's a great cause for celebration!

Jacqueline,
Success should be celebrated by whatever means!

Even though a formal graduation type ceremony is not required, I believe that students appreciate an acknowledgement of accomplishment.

i think its important to make that day special for them. It gives then something to look forward to

It was helpful to read all the comments. We are a new school and just setting up. Although it would be small, I do feel some celebration of their success is warranted. Something with family and maybe friends.

Ursule,
It is not required. It is, however, a more personal celebration of their success.

Greg,
Graduation occurs when they complete all requirements with the school. The graduation ceremony is the celebration of their success. Many smaller schools have celebrations every few months rather than none at all. It does not have to be a formal occasion, but a celebration of family, friends and school.

I think every college or institution has some form of graduation. They may however, not have a formal graduation ceremony.

Our schools are Cosmetology based, and we recognize the graduate during a "Clap Out" session. But, we do not have a formal ceremony of all of the graduates due to varied times of graduation.

We thought about having them every 6 months, but that idea was not well received by the students. The reason being that most of them are starting their careers and it's hard for them to plan or want to participate in a ceremony that takes place later in the year.

Just my take on this.
