Student Services

How much can student services help each individual student. When an institution does not offer dorming is their certain community connections the school should have in that area to guide students for housing?

Shawn,

It brings the student back to the community. Bridges challenges with resolutions.

For schools not offering housing and other like services, I believe it is essential to maintain a good relationship with the surrounding community and an awareness of the ammenities in that community. That relationship and awareness can be a tremendous boon for existing students and a deal sealer for potential students.

Angelika ,
Excellent! You are providing a student service that is needed by the student. Assisting students with these challenges in their lives makes their success achievable.

Hi, we are a new school and do not offer dorming but we make sure that we have information at hand and a little map what is around the school to make the student more comfortable and at home to study without distraction on those problems.

Hi Matiely, our location is relatively new, approxiamtely 3yrs, and does not offer dorming. However, we certainly feel that student's morale and welfare is important. We make great efforts in provide guidance in this area through our open door policy; students are encouraged and able to approach anyone regarding such topics as needed.

Matiely,
Your community should have a general resource number for information on basics such as food, housing, child care, transportation, and medical. It is very important that your school gather ths information for your students.
